Biography

Born and raised in Providence, Rhode Island, Stephen is a former celebrity trainer (ahem, Bruno Mars) and recovering entertainment litigator who currently works as a studio script analyst to feed his dirty habit of writing hilarious, dope-ass, high-concept action-comedy pilots and features based on Stephen’s more than eccentric and very eclectic New England family, which includes his gay sister; Down syndrome brother; bipolar Vietnam Veteran father; Black cousins (yes, via consanguinity); and bad-ass wife and three young children (two of which weren’t accidents).


Stephen’s projects have placed in the Top 10% of the Nicholl, advanced at Austin and PAGE, and received the ever sought after “8” on the Blacklist. In 2024, Stephen’s holiday action-comedy DASHING THROUGH THE SNOW, about a dispirited US Marshal pursuing a pregnant fugitive who’s being hunted by a trio of hitmen on a blizzardy Christmas Eve, was produced by PIB Productions and starred David Koechner ("THE OFFICE") and Isaiah Washington ("GREY'S ANATOMY).


Stephen presently resides in Studio City with his wife Lacey, who’s an attorney at Disney, and their children, Harper (10); Sutton (8); and Maverick (4). Stephen would love for his children to get their law degrees and be as awesome as him but is already bracing himself for disappointment.
