Born and bred in Los Angeles, this industry veteran has had a hand in acting, writing, casting, and directing. Starting as a teen, his all-American appeal landed Terrell over 50 national commercials for such products as Chevy, Nike, Citibank, Visa, Budlight and McDonalds. He’s made appearances on hit shows like Fresh Prince, Family Matters, Beverly Hills, 90210, and Saved by the Bell. Then Terrell moved behind the camera.
After being awarded the Bill Cosby Screenwriting Fellowship and earning a degree in screenwriting at California State University, Northridge (CSUN) his first shopped screenplay, “Escape From South Central,” was optioned by David Worthen at Fox Digital while also being hip pocketed by Bill Zotti, at that time head of feature comedy, CAA. His pilot “Cecille” was selected to the Sherman Oaks Film Festival and was semi-finalist for Screen Craft Pilot competition where ironically his pilot “Ghost Town” made the final ten. He has also been in the writer’s room of Kevin Hart’s, LOL Network.
His directorial debut, short film “Cate,” also written by Terrell, has won laurels on the festival circuit including; Finalist of the Director’s Cut Film Festival, Semi-finalist of the Madrid Film Awards as well honorable mention for Santa Monica International Film Festival and selections to Venice Shorts, Melbourne Lift-Off, Studio City and Vancouver festivals. He is currently judge on HBOMax hit, Roller Jam after finishing Co-Producing and Co-Directing “Roll Call,” an original docu-series for start up platform, TheBrickTV.
