In 2005, Tim was invited to the set of FOX’s pilot “Prison Break” where he connected with the creator Paul Scheuring and was offered a job as a PA, if it got picked up. Spoiler alert: It did! Tim moved to LA and went on to be a researcher in season two and a writer’s assistant in season three and wrote four episodes of the spin-off series “Prison Break: Proof of Innocence.” Once the series ended, Tim moved back to Chicago and started his film company GripWrite Productions and wrote, directed, and produced three award-winning short films: INHERITANCE, SILENCE THE DEAD and SURVIVE.
Between raising a family, advocating for mental health awareness through fundraising initiatives, and playing hockey, Tim wrote several feature screenplays that received recognition at a number of prestigious competitions: THE INTERCESSOR—Finalist in the 13horror.com Film & Screenplay Contest and Quarter-finalist in the Page Turner Screenplay Contest and Stage32 Search for New Blood Contest; SILENCE THE DEAD—Finalist in the 13horror.com Film & Screenplay Contest; HATE TO LOVE—5th Place Winner in the Big Apple Film Festival and Screenplay Competition; GOING AWAY PARTY—Quarter-finalist in the Script Pipeline Screenwriting and TV Writing Contest, PAGE International Screenwriting Awards, and The TITAN Screenwriting Contest; and SOIL—Quarter-finalist in the Stage32 Search for New Blood Contest, Script Pipeline First Look Project, and Your Script Produced! Contest, as well as a Semi-finalist in the Table Read My Screenplay Contest in 2022.
Outside of competitions, Tim’s drama feature SILVER is under option agreement with Loos Change Media, he’s packaging his dramedy GOING AWAY PARTY as a series with SkyPath Media and Antares Media Verse and is developing his thriller SCRATCH with director Jacob Cooney.
