Writer Statement
City at Night is not your typical medical show. All the medical shows currently on television only show the doctors and nurses as the heroes, even when EMS is involved. I think that's wrong. This show gives credit where credit is due. EMT workers and the Doctors and Nurses at the hospital in this show get equal billing. I hope you enjoy. BTW, the cases described here are actually taken from my years of experience and by what I have seen and done as an EMT in New York City.
Writer Biography
Tommy McInnis was born in Staten Island, NY to working class parents. His mother worked in banking, and his dad worked as a real estate agent. He has worked on several TV shows and Films as both an actor and a consultant. Lately he has played an EMT or Paramedic (he used to do this type of work for a living). Now that he has written a lot of different works about his homeless experiences, and seeing how sometimes the medical shows he's worked on drop the ball when it comes to the treatment of "patients," he decided to do something about it and write his own show, based upon 10 years of street medic experiences in the most populated city in America.
