Linda Shayne is American/Canadian (dual citizen) award winning writer/director. Shayne graduated with highest honors from the University of California at Berkeley and received a federal grant to study adult autism. Her published work includes a paper on ex-offenders from San Quentin State Prison and she has worked in mental hospitals. Shayne has written for DISNEY, IMAGINE and SHOWTIME and has directed for PARAMOUNT & NICKELODEON. Recently, Shayne was hired to adapt a book out of London about a spy in the French Resistance. Shayne created a dramedy TV series for QUINCY JONES and QDE and developed two animated TV series for WARNER BROS. Shayne created a dramedy TV series to film in Thailand and also wrote and directed a documentary about a Thai Transwoman Billionaire, who recently bought the Miss Universe pageant.    Shayne's dramatic feature script won the BEST FEATURE SCREENPLAY at the LONDON New Renaissance Film Festival and it won a TOP 10 FINALIST SCREENPLAY at CINEQUEST 2020 and BEST SCRIPT at the Florence Film Festival.  Shayne won a Best Thriller award at HRIFF 2020 and a Best Director award at the FREEDOM FESTIVAL for "MIRROR IMAGE" a short suspense/thriller she wrote and directed. Shayne has developed dramatic films for MUSE ENT. of Montreal and X-FILME of Germany, and she wrote a romantic comedy for PATRIOT ENTERTAINMENT of Los Angeles. Shayne first directed a film starring Ned Beatty, Neil Patrick Harris, Shelley Winters and Thora Birch.  Shayne directed a family film for Kushner-Locke and PARAMOUNT, which filmed in Romania. Shayne directed "UNDERCOVER KID", released on WARNER BROS. video and aired on HBO Family.  Shayne's first feature, "PURPLE PEOPLE EATER" garnered actress Thora Birch a Youth in Film Award.  Shayne won a TELLY AWARD for her writing on "HARD HAT HARRY" and recently Shayne received an award for action filming from the FLORENCE FILM AWARDS.  Shayne wrote a children's book that Emmy Award winning animator, Art Leonardi illustrated entitled, "LONGFELLOW FINDS A HOME". This rhyming picture book is available in English.  A Spanish language version is also available. Shayne's children's book will soon be published as a bilingual English/Japanese version. Shayne also co-wrote the English translation of Dord Krstic's non-fiction book: "Mileva and Albert Einstein: Their Love and Scientific Collaboration", sold at the Einstein Museum House in Switzerland.
