CALL FOR WRITER – MADE-FOR-TV FEATURE

We’re currently developing a powerful made-for-TV feature and are looking for a passionate co-writer to help bring this story to life. Production is slated to begin soon.

This project is backed by an established production studio with a few independent feature films under its banner. An acclaimed writer-director is already attached, bringing both vision and sensitivity to the material.

About the Story:

Inspired by real events, this emotionally charged narrative explores themes of personal freedom, defiance, and unwavering love in the face of societal oppression. At its heart is the intimate journey of two individuals whose romance becomes a symbol of courage and resistance—a deeply human story set against a politically resonant backdrop.

The ideal writer for The Voice Beneath the Veil brings a deep sensitivity to human rights stories and the ability to craft emotionally rich, character-driven narratives rooted in truth and resilience. They should be skilled at telling powerful, universal stories that balance intimacy with impact—infusing moments of hope, humanity, and even subtle humor amid profound struggle. Experience with political or social justice themes, particularly involving women’s rights or Middle Eastern contexts, would be a significant asset.

Director's Vision:

At its heart, this is the deeply moving story of Aamir, a passionate young artist, and Leila, a bold and defiant soul, whose love blossoms in the shadows of a repressive society. Set in modern-day Iran, their romance unfolds under constant threat, where every stolen moment is both a risk and a rebellion.

Through intimate glimpses into their world, the film explores the tension between love and fear, art and censorship, tradition and freedom. As Amir and Leila struggle to stay true to each other—and to themselves—they confront the harsh realities of a system determined to silence them.

This is not just a love story; it’s a testament to the power of the human spirit, the cost of defiance, and the quiet courage it takes to choose love in a world that forbids it.
