UK Producer with International reach looking to find fresh authentic voices for future episodic TV productions. Big emphasis on inclusivity of all aspects of society. For example, touching on topics such as socio-economic problems, physical impairment, ethnicity, gender or single parenting. However, they are in the entertainment game so as much as serious dramas are welcome, they are also looking for entertaining fare.
Looking to find areas of society, or even life in general, where there has been very little made. In other words, underserved areas.
In terms of voice, you can be provocative, have a strong position on something and show originality. Main characters living through something momentous that the audience can relate to but shining a light on an underserved aspect of society. It doesn't have to be too concept driven, perhaps a little messy, to align with the theme.
Comps include I Hate Suzy, Normal People and Queers. Bigger budget pieces that mix genres such as Lovecraft Country also welcome.
We are open to any and all writers from any background, race or gender.
When submitting, please include your pilot SCRIPT, a SYNOPSIS and most importantly, a thoroughly developed LOGLINE for the pilot. We want to know your concept and hook within the logline. We will narrow our selection from the synopsis and logline, so you’ll want to impress and grab us with those elements.
Union and non-union writers accepted. Scripts from anywhere in the world will be considered but must be in English language.
NOTE: An “ISA Verified Pro” means it is a respected industry professional/company with means to fund projects that suit their mandate. They wish to remain private and have entrusted the ISA to vet and find content to send to them.
