Biography

Formerly a litigation attorney, Donnalyn Vojta decided to put away the law books and pursue her writing dream in 2016 when she wrote two magical realism/thriller novels, both highly rated with new editions released in 2023! Her voracious love for movies, though, set her on the screenwriting path in 2018. She immersed herself in learning the ropes of screenwriting and took a mentor in a successful producer/director.

Since Vojta's original scripts have earned several “recommends” in professional coverage, her career is off and running. She is now an award-winning writer with two major producers seeking funding for two separate features. She has written feature scripts for producers in fantasy, horror, crime drama, and romance, but her passion is the thriller genre. Vojta lives in Chicago with her husband and dog, where she spends much of her time watching movies or hammering out scripts.
