Biography

Once upon a time, Jule - a lover of weird, bloody fairy tales (aka the original ones) - decided to leave her boring small town behind to follow the sirens' call of writing.

Since then, she has always found herself entangled in stories about monsters and cynical female leads (sometimes witches), but with a grain of empathy sprinkled on top like fairy dust. The theme of outsiders becoming a family and the struggles of loneliness always come up in her work.

She currently produces and hosts a fictional, satirical podcast named “SPIEGLEIN, SPIEGLEIN, …WTF?!”, in which she retells the fucked-up originals with sarcasm and coffee. And it also was an inspiration for her recent award-winning horror short script THE BUTZEMANN about the evil truth behind a harmless kid's song her mum used to sing to her.
