Biography

A rare combination of Muslim and Mormon DNA produced the unusual creative creature that is Nick Fituri Scown. In both narrative and documentary, his stories tend to focus on people finally facing their troubled pasts to overcome the challenges they face in the present.

An Emmy Nominated producer, Nick has also been a finalist for a Disney Writing Fellowship, the Cinequest Comedy Pilot Competition, the Roadmap Top Tier Competition, and the Austin Film Festival Feature Script Competition. Jarrett Creative Group has optioned his feature screenplay LAST THANKSGIVING and he's working on an adaptation of the novel THE MEMORY ARTISTS for Cinemonger. His critically praised documentary, TOO SOON: COMEDY AFTER 9/11 airs annually on VICE TV.

When he isn’t working, Nick likes to spend his free time either going on long hikes with his dog in Big Bear or trapped in tiny Escape Rooms with his L.A. friends, for as Dostoevsky says, “Man is a mystery.”
