Pat Holden is a filmmaker and screenwriter with a track record of compelling, original storytelling across multiple genres. Originally from a working-class background in Yorkshire, he began his career in advertising in London before transitioning into film, where he quickly gained recognition.
Currently, Pat is in development with NBC Universal and Leif Bristow Films on RESURRECTION and is attached as director to the UK independent feature GENUINE FAKES, starring Celia Imrie, Derek Jacobi, and Alex Kingston, slated to shoot in summer 2025. His hit web series THERAPEUTIC FIBBING (2024) has amassed over a million views, solidifying his reputation as a fresh, dynamic voice in the industry.
His feature biopic FASTER THAN BULLETS won the Writers Guild of Canada Jim Burt Prize and multiple other screenwriting awards. He was also shortlisted for the Bell Media TV Programme and reached the second-round pitching stage at Netflix with his family animation project GALAPAGOS. His scripts have placed in Final Draft Big Break, Academy Nicholl, Screencraft, Slamdance, and Atlanta Film Festival competitions.
Pat's previous work includes the gritty, cult-favorite AWAYDAYS, which opened the London Film Festival, and the supernatural thriller WHEN THE LIGHTS WENT OUT, produced by Deepak Nayar (Lost Highway) and Bil Bungay (Moon).
A former ISA Fast Track Fellow, Pat was named one of ISA’s Top 25 Screenwriters to Watch. With an eye for character-driven storytelling and a knack for crafting both high-concept narratives and intimate dramas, he continues to build momentum as a rising screenwriter and producer.
