Rodolfo Alvarado is an eclectic writer whose fiction and non-fiction have appeared in literary journals, academic and popular presses, as well as on stage and film. In early 2021, he optioned his limited series, The Voice of Santa Anita, to Turn Left Productions. His recent screenplays, Undesirable and ¡Viva, La Click-ka! were finalists and semi-finalists in a number of competitions. He is currently developing his published biography on the life and death of Eclipse Award and Hall of Fame jockey Garrett Gomez for the screen. Films which he has written, produced, directed or acted in have been screened at the CineSol Festival, the Viva Aztlan Film Festival and at the Antietam National Battlefield in a documentary featuring the vocal talents of James Earl Jones
